Writer Jane Austen's enduring and beloved novel gets another interpretation on the big screen, and this one is just as excellent as its predecessors. The Bennet family - headed by patriarch Mr. Bennet (Donald Sutherland) - along with the rest of the town, await the arrival of two newcomers, the wealthy Mr. Bingley and his friend, Mr. Darcy. When Lizzie Bennet (Keira Knightley) meets Mr. Darcy (Matthew Macfadyen), their encounter is fraught with animosity. But subsequent events bring them together and their feelings for each other begin to develop. Pride rears its head when the two continue their verbal tussle at every opportunity. Mr. Bingley (Simon Woods) also strikes up a romance with Lizzie's sister, Jane (Rosamund Pike). Will their romantic entanglements, the conventions of society, and the machinations of Mrs Bennet keep Lizzie from discerning what true love could really be like?
