This is a funny, romantic tale of how far we have come - and how low we will sink - in the name of love. Two long-time best friends, Julianne (Roberts) and Michael (Mulroney), have made a pact that if neither has found someone to love by the age of 28, they would marry each other. Now they're 28, and he's popped the question. There's only one problem - he's asked someone else - the bubbly Kimberly (Diaz). Hell hath no fury like a long-time friend scorned, and Julianne will get her man back by any means necessary. Giving her some useful tips is her deadpan funny and very gay friend, George (Everett). The sheer star-power of Roberts and Diaz, combined with the critically-acclaimed performance of Everett in this breakout role, do a good job heating up the screen.
