This is a sci-fi suspense about "In-Valid" Vincent Freeman, whose genetic defects mar his dream of ever journeying into space. He hatches a daring plan to assume the identity of Jerome Morrow, a "Valid" who is crippled and willing to sell his superior genetic materials. Caught in the process is beautiful "Valid" Irene, who is also denied space travel because of her heart defect. Together, Vincent and Irene must find a way to break out of this strict world they live in and change their destinies.
