Tony is shocked to learn that his old friend and loyal hoodlum, Big Pussy, may be a rat. He sends Paulie to investigate when Pussy starts acting suspiciously. But it turns out that the crooked cop on Tony's payroll is the one who fingered Pussy. The problem gets complicated when Pussy disappears and the dirty cop commits suicide – Tony's at a loss as to who started the mess.
And just when things couldn't get any worse, Junior, who's reached the breaking point with Tony, puts a hit out on him.
