Since the death of her late husband, the former First Lady, Tess Carlisle, has been living under the watchful eye of secret agent Doug Chesnic, and his team of six. Chesnic has had enough of Tess after three years and requests a transfer. But Tess forces Chesnic to stay on. As the days go by, the battle of wills between him and the aging ex-First Lady escalates. But their domestic conflict morphs into an unlikely friendship.
