Prince Akeem is a genteel prince from an African royal family who wants to choose his own queen. And where else would he find one but in Queens, New York! Together with his sidekick, the prince poses as a poor washer in a fast-food joint and manages to find and woo an American beauty. Her boyfriend and Akeem's royal father, however, have other ideas.
