TQC Technician
Responsibilities
- Technical Quality Control of all HBO Asia network air material including features, OAP and BAP productions promo material.
- Responsible for operational calibration and system checks of all technical specs and levels related to duplication and dubbing, fixes technical defect if necessary.
- Ensures escalation procedures to report non-conforming media are followed.
- Prepares reports detailing technical discrepancies. Linear insert and assemble editing on pass clean or uncut movies.
- Transcoding of media to formats that support post production, transmission, Subtitling, Sales and Marketing, etc
- Dubs material per dub requests generated by other sections/departments.
- Duplicate on-air copies, promotional and other materials within HBO Asia technical specifications, prioritize and perform work according to datelines given.
- Maintains and inputs data into established databases and assists in the development of new databases.
- Perform quality checks on audio and video output levels of in-house facilities and report discrepancies to supervisor.
Requirements
- Diploma in Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering.
- Ability to work independently and resort to contingencies when problem arise.
- Possess general knowledge of computer/ networking.
- Ability to work on shift duty.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin would be an advantage.
- At least 1-3 years of operational experience in TV broadcast network with good knowledge in broadcast origination facility.
