Two narcotics cops, Ray Tango and Gabe Cash, are as different as night and day. However, each has cracked down on drug dealers – much to the fury of one crime boss, Yves Perret. In an act of retaliation, Perret decides to frame the two cops and have them sent to prison. As it turns out, Tango and Cash don't get along any better behind bars than they did in the station house. Reluctantly, they join forces and escape to pursue Perret. But the two cops are unaware of the ace up his sleeve – Tango's beautiful sister, Kiki.
