An ex-government spy, Gabriel Shear, wants to steal over nine billion dollars of unused government funds, stored behind heavily secured computer locks. Shear has big plans for the money – namely, to wreak devastation on the terrorists who threaten American interests abroad. So he enlists the help of a reformed hacker, Stanley Jobson, who is coerced by Shear's seductive associate, Ginger Knowles, into helping Shear's cause. However, Stanley has a more personal motive – to win back custody of the daughter he lost after his last computer crime. But does the end truly justify the means?
