Colonel Jason Rhodes is a man bent on finding his son who has been listed as missing in action in Vietnam.
When he is given privileged information of the whereabouts of a Vietcong POW camp in Laos, he enlists the help of a rich businessman to finance a rescue mission.
Armed with his own convictions, he reassembles his son's Marine buddies; each man the best in his field, each who have since moved on with their lives.
The group engages in a dangerous and violent adventure as they attempt to rescue the POWs.
