Synopsis:
This HBO Original Movie is based on an important chapter of the US history. It recounts the struggle of suffragettes, Alice Paul and Lucy Burns, who finally manage to secure women's voting rights by 1920. Outnumbered in a male-dominated society, Alice and Lucy are thrown into jail for their activist actions. In retaliation, they go on a hunger strike. Their resistance to being force-fed earns them the nickname, "Iron Jawed Angels." Their iron will and courage inspire a nation, changing it forever.
